Hello! I always start with talking about myself here, and often bore you with an unnecessarily long paragraph about personal nonsense. Let's do
it different today! How are you? How is it going? Is there anything I can help you with? Unfortunately, since this is a
static text, I have no way to reply or react. But I really hope you gave a positive response to all of my questions! Let's swoosh into the recap of this week!
Just kidding... Shameless self advertisement time! If you haven't checked the VMC-Game announcement (Board of Tecnocrats) yet, please have a look! I will be posting updates about it regularly, after I started the development process around late August. I have also spent a lot of time for that specific post :'(
Okay, for real, recap time!
Be what you are. You will never be this cool. |
Remember when I talked about the early days of VMC-Tec? Well, I suppose some Tecnocrats took the statement as a challenge and went back to very early days of the server. Even though this is not exactly a part of the server happenings, I
thought it was worthy of mentioning this nostalgic journey the
Tecnocrats have gone through. KaedenCraft, Avyn, Princessruri and Danny_Depresso (legends say Animagician was also there) found themselves in version alpha 1.0.17_04. Those were simple times where Steve was invincible, hunger was yet to be invented, gravity utilized some futuristic technology called teleportation, fences refused to be piled like timber, there weren't enough bloodshed to trigger a zombie apocalypse, furnaces did not do furnace things... You get the point. Those four (plus one) members survived in this primitive version for an entire Minecraft week.
They have also left quite a lot of landmarks behind. In order not to spoil what they have created, I will put only one of them here:
The lack of quality-of-life features of alpha versions must have annoyed KaedenCraft and Danny_Depresso so much that they decided to blow an entire landscape up. Even psychologists say breaking stuff is a way of coping with anger and annoyance. Dealing with slime blocks was indeed not less annoying, but there is nothing more satisfying than things blowing up (except when it is the machine itself. Looking at you, Kaeden!).
All this hatred was eventually balanced out with a good deed. As the below-roof nether highways currently look like an incomplete IKEA item, KaedenCraft decided to help with some of it. Inspired by TLC's home renovation shows, WildBarbecue124's nether tunnel has been turned into a more stylish one. The netherrack's hot colors had been creating an unfriendly mood, so they have been replaced with a more welcoming material: white concrete. The jungle planks were a threat in an environment like nether, so they were also switched to inflammatory white concrete. Cobblestone blocks were not necessarily pleasing to look at, so the walls' material was changed to a more simplistic white concrete.

Animagician was busy welcoming guests. It's not hard to figure out why this is a rare occasion: Inhabitants of the mortal plane are not capable of climbing mountains that well. My human brain could not comprehend the explanations of Animagician about the technology used in the house, but the magic he uses up there apparently transforms the cold air into warm air through a hole in the entrance door. Or, maybe his body is not affected by low/high temperatures as a human does. This is beyond what my senses can perceive.
Some evil guy used the basement of Animagician's house for creating an entrance to his future evil lair. According to my data, the amount of evils on the server double every week. This means we may run out of peaceful people by the end of July. Oh no!
There is also Clark Westwater. I can't follow what's going on anymore. That's it! Every day I have to work out the identity of a new character... Bye bye! Tecrar over!
This new evil character looks oddly similar to a certain server member. I can't seem to find who, though. |
Or not.
I did the same joke twice in a row to make a smooth transition to Avyn's part. Unfortunately she did not post a VMC-Tec related video this week... but I fooled you to read about TecThor's part now. You can't stop mid-paragraph. You are stuck here! Anyways, TecThor spends his week to balance the growing evil with gifts to the new-ish Tecnocrats who joined the server about a month ago:
While visiting TheSpaceCher's base, we learn KaedenCraft plans on burning TecThor in lava, but that's a completely different story. Let's just focus on the enormous quantities of leather he receives in an encounter he was supposed to give the gift. After flexing with how many diamonds he has, he proceeds to visit Animagician too. As mentioned before, he has some hard time climbing up the mountains. That's why, kids, health is more important than money. Why have that much wealth if you are not be able to walk around without getting tired quickly?
He also makes a completely normal timelapse of him building a wall. There is totally nothing out of the ordinary so there is no need to watch it. It's just him placing blocks I swear. Just usual stuff. *wink wink*
Yes I will use the same exact shot twice because it's so awesome. |
I just wanted to show the old chair one last time, because KaedenCraft is the new chair as of today! The second Board of Directors has taken place this Sunday. There weren't as many candidates this week, so the voting was between KaedenCraft and Animagician. As Animagician's free raw meat felt like a threat to everyone, the majority voted for the other option.
KaedenCraft giving a happy speech after finally being elected (laterer 2020, colorized) Also, RIP. I forgot to turn off coordinates. |
In this Board of Directors there were not much voted for. But I will list them anyways:
- No, the meeting should not end.
That's it. There were also some topics discussed, which may be more important than the things voted in the extensive list above:
- The prank situation is addressed. As much as we all love pranks, it sometimes is too frequent to deal with. This does not mean a discouragement towards pranks, but there has to be some line we should not pass. Please do not go overboard. For example, do not send people beyond world limit (sorry, TecThor). Or do not target already-targeted members. Especially the content creator ones. They have mentioned that it's a pain to login to a prank when they have plans to do other stuff.
- No one wanted to take the responsibility to decorate the server for Christmas or Halloween. No one is forced to decorate, of course, but it is highly encouraged :)
- There are some topics about payments of shops. Those are neither accepted nor rejected yet, as far as I am aware:
- Chair will consider a payment plan for new players. It was an idea that new players may not have the diamonds to open a new shop, so a "grace period" in which they can postpone the payment were considered. Some newer players told that finding 9 diamonds is not really a hard task so that it should not be a problem.
- Later there was an idea about having an area dedicated to temporary shops (up to 2 weeks) for new players. This way they can earn their initial diamonds to buy some land for their permanent shops.
- The shop payments are being moved to a better place! Animagician is leading a project which creates a new home for the diamond blocks. I don't want to spoil details as it may be featured in his episodes later.
This was it for the week! See you in the next post!
Hahaha =D
