As promised, this blog post is on time! Surprised? Me too! Without having a long long introduction as I often do, let's jump right into the recap of this week!
Despite having a luxurious mansion, she suffered from famine and hunger. I suppose giving away apples was not a good idea in that sense. In order to deal with those problems, she went for an adventure to find a treasure chest. Maybe full of bread? Potatoes? Cakes? No, the cake was a lie. The dreams of food shattered when all she could find was death. She had to build a farm to get some edible supplies.
Since their declaration about being the next economic empire of the server, Kaeden Heavy Industries made their most profitable agreement so far. HiTec Incorporated offered them a hundred blue shiny rocks in exchange for enough concrete to build multiple TecThor pixel arts around the server. This is a great deal for who needs funds to start dominating an economic cycle. So KaedenCraft proceeded to prepare the materials for the trade. Indeed, no mere mortal is patient enough to convert that much powder into concrete; therefore he finally turned the "Heavy" part of his industry into reality by building a concrete converter. I think KHI started to climb up in the diamond race with that blast chamber built inside Walmart!
It could all have gone smoother if the trade was done with someone else. During their business meeting at TecTower, TecThor tweaked the exchange with a fun game. He challenged KaedenCraft to get out the building before him. The winner would get an IOU (I Owe You) from the other. Those things are dangerous as you never know what people will use it for.
Considering that the tower is TecThor's and no one else enters the building, it was obvious that KaedenCraft did not know his way out without using the windows. So, TecThor promised him to give 2 seconds advantage (hush, he never gave it). We know and love TecThor... thus we can easily tell he had something else on mind. As revealed later, he set up a trap before the meeting to get KaedenCraft stuck in a cobweb. Did it work? Watch their videos to find out!
KaedenCraft and TecThor. I don't know what to write for a caption. |
Now from the other perspective, TecThor; he was a busy bee this week. He published a 30+ minute video which is filled to the brim. He also experimented with a lot of cool camera angles during the video. Though I don't even use the replay mod, I demand a tutorial! Anyways:
Like he does with his villagers, he decided to keep his melons and pumpkins in his basement. At least, unlike his villagers, the right for education was not forgotten for those plants. He built a "smart" farm which is capable of deciding when to harvest, with some other extra functions. He explains how it works in his video, and I don't claim I can do it better than he does. Be a part of Tecversity if you need a more detailed explanation.
Smart. |
Despite the delay, we can finally see the Board of Directors meeting from his perspective! Three-week late spoiler alert: He won the elections! He has also shown his support to the other close-to-winning candidate KaedenCraft, with a "#AvynForChaircat" hashtag. The rest is as you know; he was busy scamming his business partners. If you want him to do more 'dirty deeds' you can leave a comment to his latest videos and target any active member of VMC-Tec!

The subject of the dirty deeds is not always TecThor, and he became the target of one as he got hit by a mysterious hut in front of his newly-built factory. A three by three by three house with slabs on top appeared directly at the entrance, blocking the way in and out of the factory. The building calls itself "Extremely Inconveniently Placed Hut" and requires to deal with a customer service to remove it. Unfortunately, XiadMabsax is on the other end of the line so things never go smoothly. The "remove service" turned out to be a "re-move service". With TecThor's call, the hut was of course re-moved... but we do not yet know to where yet.
Look at me go! This is a smooth transition! Something something Avyn. Speaking of Avyn, she has been trying her best to finally change the currency of the server from diamonds to apples. If you recently got a gift of apples and rose bushes, you now know where they came from. In a sense, I agree that apples are more rare than light blue rocks. I don't remember when was the last time I had more apples than diamonds.
She also goes through the progress of her base since her last episode. The base now officially has more functional rooms than some specific gigantic castle we all know. One is a council room with a radio streaming zombie sounds all day long. Another is a crafting room with a plush bee. Other than the hall, there is also a storage room with 200 IQ labeling: With the presence of labels "Stone" and "Not-Stone" she has been the first Tecnocrat to have a dedicated chest for every single item in the game! PS: No, she still doesn't have diamond tools.
I am trying my best not to spoil builds, so here have a part of it. I like the idea of having an aquarium around my bed. If I had the money, I'd do it for my own bedroom. |

A note to Avyn: If you are reading this, please consider "shift + double click" while taking items from a chest. That would prevent your death from oxygen inadequacy.

That was all for this week, but I would like to talk about a couple of things. (Not exactly a server recap, so you can skip to the end of this blog if you want)
Firstly, I am finally buying a new computer after 10+ years! I will no longer play Minecraft on a toaster so there is hope I can start recording stuff! Having a fresh setup may also increase the quality of those blogs. Who knows? I just wanted to share my excitement with you!
Secondly, I want to talk about VMC-Tec members. Here I make a summary of the content creators' videos but that doesn't mean that non-content creators cannot be featured here. I often don't know what every single member does, so feel free to message me on Discord (preferably with screenshots without the hotbar - press F1). You know the general content here, so you can decide what is worth featuring and what is not!
Thirdly, I only promote the VMC-Tec related videos of the content creators here as this is a VMC-Tec related blog. I don't feel like I give enough credit to them. If you are reading this, please do know that they produce videos outside of this server too! If you are interested in any of the content types below, you know what to do :)
- Animagician has "another vanilla series" and he occasionally shares a redstone tutorial.
- Avyn has a series called "111 Things" where she sets goals every episode in a modded single player world. She also shares some Monday specials!
- TecThor's new content is mostly about the server, but he also showcases buildings or makes technical (shaders, AFK flight, etc) tutorials.
- KaedenCraft also mostly shares about the server, but he also does mod reviews and building/modding tutorials. He recently shared the gameplay of a puzzle map too!
- TheSpaceCher streams on Twitch even though she doesn't always upload them on YouTube.
And lastly, I tried a new style for this recap. You may have realized that the post had a different tone/flow compared to older Tecrar, thanks to your valuable feedback! If you could comment about what can be improved or what I did better this time, it would be more than appreciated!
Once again, thank you for reading! I am less busy nowadays so you can expect the blog posts on time! See you next week!
Absolutely. Amazing! Loved this week's Tecrar, as well as the new style! Hope to see some videos from you too :)
ReplyDeletealso, i dont post my another vanilla series any more lol
This was so much fun to read - really really good! I was chuckling the whole time.
ReplyDeleteThis blog breaks my personal rule: "If it hasn't an equation in it, it is not worth to be read." ... everything on this site is worth and enjoyable to be read! <3
I will definitely remember to shift-double click next time, lol! :D Great post, I love these!
