Welcome to the second weekly recap of VMC-Tec! Remember what I said about democracy bringing order to the chaotic nature of the server? Well, disregard the previous Tecrar in that sense. The anarchy could not be contained by democracy. This week, I will demonstrate the true power of the Tecnocrats when it comes to pranks.

Close enough

Before I dive into the pranks, I would like to update you on the implementation of the new rules which are decided on the previous meeting. People started to pay for their land using diamonds. However, someone paid with gold blocks and light blue dye. One may claim that they are DIY diamond blocks, but someone should explain people why you cannot dye gold blocks in Minecraft.
That was the only somewhat-sane behavior we have seen this week. Now it's time to talk about the rest.

Entrance sign of Kaeden Heavy Industries.

First things first... it's official: Kaeden Heavy Industries (IDK for short) now accepts apples as a form of currency! I'm assuming that KaedenCraft's short pirate career had devastating effects on his abilities on how to run a corporation. Otherwise it is not hard to see that diamonds are a bit more valuable than apples. On the other hand his competitors were very jealous of this groundbreaking business plan; so much that they decided to vandalize his corporate building in order to damage his reputation in the wealth race.

At least the label gods show a gesture of support by helping him label his storage area. Sounds brilliant, right? However, the line between "what to label" and "what not to label" is very thin at times; and the gods have labeled practically everything. On the positive side KaedenCraft will never lose where his banners, walls, cobblestones or entrances are!

His main rival TecThor is known for putting his nose on everything. This time, he has outdone himself by putting his entire head on Kaeden Heavy Industries' swimming pool. To be fair, this idea comes from his viewers on the dirty deeds submissions, where TecThor does at least one prank randomly selected from his comment section in each of his videos. Otherwise he wouldn't build such a thing as pixel arts don't bring any diamonds in return.

T3chno's two prank ideas merged into one: Bird poop and TecThor statue |
As said, TecThor's main focus was the diamond-producing buildings. He was only a couple of months late to utilize the giant hole he dug in his frontyard. (No visual changes to the iron farm yet, though promised in episode 1) Visually inspired by old industrial buildings, the brick building acts as a sophisticated railing to stop people from falling into the giant pit. As a bonus, TecThor will no longer see the non-decorated iron farm from his library at home.

Huh? What's that wooden box? (Answer: It's a spoiler!)

We are now back to Avyn, who proposed VMC-Tec's new currency to pay for her nether portal's correcting. Learning her lesson from last episode about how important having a safe bed is, she proceeds to build the main structure of her mountainside mansion. She lays out a rough plan of how to utilize the abundance of rooms within the house. Turns out it will be more functional than most of the one-piece bases on the server, even though it looks relatively small on the outside.

Avyn's future home |
Her new neighbor, animagician, unfortunately has a similar fate when it comes to survival in early game. The wilderness plays harsh on new players. His first battle with the nature is lost, and he starts over with no items. He learned a lot from this defeat, questioned life; and he decided to become a monk. His great wisdom brought great problems too. Building his house on a mountain top, his second battle begun, this time about the color of his balcony floor. Zeus wants them snow white, where animagician insists on spruce brown. I will update you on how this battle goes in the next Tecrars.

The bars make me feel uncomfortable

Lastly, there is TheSpaceCher. She posted her first video on YouTube even though she streamed on Twitch a couple of times before. Her first days out in the nature is no different than what others had to deal with. That said, dying to a guardian is an interesting first death experience. After breaking into a villager's home and claiming the house as her own, she faces her inner TecThor and goes on a journey to find diamonds. Did she find any? I'll leave it here as a cliffhanger!

This pun will never go old. She is Cher-ing even after dying to a guardian.

This was all I have about content creators this week. My exam week is approaching, so I wasn't able to get online much. What I know is, Wolfboy248 has opened a Music shop, where he builds some tunes to wherever you want. I could not go and check it myself yet, but I will make sure I feature it in the next post. Until then, see you all!
PS: The 100% trustworthy shop BLUFF updated the promises this week! Sorry for the typo from the last week; I misspelled "bacon" as "beacon". Whoops!
Got to say this, i like seeing everybody's update, even in blog form, creative!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool Xiad! =D
